After 27 years of travelling the four corners of the
world
from Chile to Canada,
Singapore to Sri Lanka, Turkey to Thailand,
performing
Visual
Comedy
with JO, JAC
&
JONI,
then
with JAC 'N' JAZ,
I decided to go into the tribute/lookalike business,
using my vast entertainment experience and my striking resemblance
to the late, great, comic genius
who
is
Frankie
is
a
true
cult
hero,
still
adored
by
millions
of
fans,
both
young
and
old,
all
over
the
world.
The
star
of
the
classic
comedy
genre
from
the
"CARRY
ON"
films
to
"UP
POMPEII"
and
"A
FUNNY
THING
HAPPENED
ON
THE
WAY
TO
THE
FORUM".
I
copied Frankie's trademark costumes, the Lurcio Toga,
the Roman Sandals,
the
Safari
Suit
and
Pithe
Helmet.
Then
I
replicated his wig,
his eyebrows and
even
his
teeth.
With
the
help of a voice coach, scriptwriters,
and
then
studying
every
possible
video,
film
and
tape
recording
of
Frankie,
I perfected Frankie's accents,
expressions and mannerisms.
Slowly
I
realised
just
how
much
alike
we
both
were
It was all a
little bit creepy!
I
have
long
admired Frankie
for
his
unique
sense
of
humour,
his
good clean fun,
and
his mastery of innuendo,
double
entendre and raised eyebrows,
"It's all in your mind missus!"
He
never had
need of 'four letter words'.
"There's no filth in my act!" he would always declare.
